Olympic MEDALS Aug 04

A bronze medal from the Beijing Olympics has sold for nearly $90,000. Swimming superstar Ryan Lochte has auctioned his three-time Olympic MEDALS

It will soon be the 14th anniversary of the start of the Beijing Olympics, a memorable swimming event that saw world records broken and Phelps win eight gold MEDALS

In fact, in addition to Phelps, at the same time the United States swimming team also emerged another superstar Lochte.

Lochte has six gold MEDALS at the Olympics and 18 at the world championships, despite a fraud scandal at the 2016 Olympics. His swimming performance is still among the best in the world.

Lochte recently announced the auction of all his Olympic silver MEDALS and bronze MEDALS, including one silver from Athens, two bronze from Beijing and two silver and one bronze from London, as well as a platinum Olympic ring and a personal watch.

The proceeds will go to the Children's Charity.

At the auction, two bronze MEDALS from the Beijing Games attracted huge bids and sold for $89,000, eight times higher than the $12,000 estimate and the highest of any medal.

Three MEDALS from the London Olympics sold for $56,000. A medal from the Athens Olympics sold for $21,000.

Despite the long past, Beijing Olympic MEDALS are still popular.

Lochte, who also has six Olympic gold MEDALS, did not rule out further auctions in the future.
