China's men's 4x100m relay team won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, according to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) executive Board meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Thursday.

This means that The Chinese team will make a new track and field history by winning a bronze medal in the men's 4x100m relay at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

The men's 4x100m final at the 2022 Tokyo Olympic Games kicked off on August 6, 2021, with China finishing fourth in 37.79 seconds, equating China's national record.  On 18 February 2022, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) issued a notice that Uja had violated anti-doping rules and the result of the 4 x 100m relay final of the Tokyo Olympic Games was cancelled.  Canada and China took silver and bronze after finishing third and fourth.

The Chinese men's 4 x 100m relay team will receive their medal within 12 months according to the Olympic medal reallocation process following the official announcement of the results of the meeting.

The MEDALS will be sent to the athletes within 12 months

The Olympic medal reallocation process is in its third of four phases.

The first stage is a 4-24 month legal process, which includes the legal process for positive test results (AAF) and anti-doping rule violation (ADRV) determination.  If an athlete appeals the first decision, there can be up to three lawsuits, each lasting up to eight months.

The second stage will be decided by the IOC Executive Board and will last for 1-3 months.  When a doping violation is confirmed, the IOC will ask the ifs to issue a new official ranking of the event.  If possible, the IOC will re-test all substitute athletes.

The third phase is determined by the IOC Executive Board and lasts for 1-3 months.  The IOC executive board approved the re-awarding of the MEDALS.  Ioc will contact relevant documents after implementation.

The fourth stage is the medal reissue stage, which must be completed within 12 months.  Once the IOC Executive Board has made its decision, the athletes will be notified by their national Olympic Committees of the next steps in the legal process.

There are currently 6 ways the IOC has announced that athletes can choose according to their preference:

 1. Next Olympics (reissued from Pyeongchang 2018)

 2. Youth Olympics

 3. The IOC headquarters or the Olympic Museum

 4. At the grand assembly of the National Olympic Committee

 5. At an IFS event or grand assembly

 6. Have a private ceremony

The Chinese men's 4x100m relay team of Su Bingtian, Xie Zhenye, Wu Zhiqiang and Tang Xingqiang is expected to have a medal ceremony at the 2022 IaAF World Championships in July if the MEDALS are awarded through an open event.
